This project is an open pit quarry in which dimension stone, rock, construction aggregates, angular stones, sand, gravel, or slate is excavated from the ground. Aggregate materials which are the interest are extensively used for all kinds of construction applications and infrastructure development and are essential for every modern economy. The actual mining project is expected to commence by the end of year 2025 or early 2026 with capacity of producing 150 to 200 metric tons per hour.
The project area is in Mjelo village in Tanzanian Republic administrative area of Chamwino district in Dodoma region with a total mining license area of 547 hectares. The area is accessible off the main Dodoma- Dar es Salaam tarmac road through a secondary road at Buigiri Chamwino with gravel level up to designated fields which are located on the Eastern side of Dodoma City. It is estimated 50km away from Dodoma City Centre and 18km from Chamwino area.
The area has been explored by diamond core drilling methodology with geological mapping engagement for aggregate prospects. The total volume of massive granitic units generated as geological resource model of aggregate prospects from the explored area is estimated to be more than 20,000,000 cubic meters of potential granite and 0.287 million cubic meters of potential granodiorite respectively.
