Fluorite is industrial mineral mainly used in steel smelting plants as a smelting catalyst, it can also be synthesized into air conditioning refrigerant. Fluorite as a common industrial raw material, its value depends on the purity of calcium fluoride. The present purity of the fluorite found in Mbinga district is specifically 50%-85% with whitish colored rock.
The fluorite mine project is located at Mbinga district in Ruvuma region in southwestern Tanzania, 30 kilometers north of Ruanda Village and 70 kilometers from the nearest main road Kitai. It is about 1,100 kilometers from the port of Dar es Salaam and about 800 kilometers from the port of Mtwara. This project has been executed in collaboration with Enprizon company limited which is a mining and mineral trading company registered in Tanzania after discovering surface outcrops of fluorite around coal mining license owned by Jitegemee holdings company limited in Ruvuma region.
